Casa Codognato + Serge Sorokko Exhibition Party

C Social Front, December 16, 2016
On Thursday, December 8, Venetian artist, master jeweler and head of Casa Codognato, Attilio Codognato, celebrated the premiere of his longtime jewelry label’s glimmering exhibition, Coveted: Jewels by Codognato, at Serge Sorokko Gallery in San Francisco—the first-ever showcase for the lauded Italian house outside of a museum. The exhibition, which runs through Saturday, January 7, also coincides with the brand’s landmark 150-year anniversary, during which the brand has amassed a cult following spanning the 19th and 20th century royal families of Europe to style icons such as Coco Chanel, Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Kennedy. Influencers and admirers of the brand including fashion designer Kamila Dmowska, artist Suzy Kellems Dominik and style maven Olya Dzilikhova pursued the stunning archival display compromising nearly fifty works from both the jewelry house and Codognato’s personal collection—from signature skull- and -serpent clad necklaces to opulent gold, platinum and precious stone designs. “Attilo is the secret reason for us to go to Venice at least once a year,” says Tatiana Sorokko, who helms the gallery along with her husband, Serge. “Codognato’s art is as intricate as it is timeless—mysterious even. His jewels are truly objects d’art,” she says.
