Damien Hirst's series "New Religion" is making its US premiere at Serge Sorokko Gallery. Using iconography that includes a child's skill, a butterfly, and Hirst's ever-popular pharmaceuticals, the series explores science and faith via sculpture, canvas and barbed wire. The oft-controversial (to wit, his notorious shark-in-formaldehyde piece) Brit's exhibition is on view through May 20. sorokko.com
